Wolfenstein 2009: Graphics Revolution

Maybe for gamers, Wolfenstein name was familiar. Yes, at the age of 17 years now FPS-genre game that comes with bringing back a bunch of Nazis with supernatural abilities.

Wolfenstein is a game type of science fiction first-person shooter (Sci-Fi FPS) under cultivation by Raven Software. The game which is a sequel of earlier series, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, present the story in the era of Nazi rule in 1943.

Against Nazi Troops

The story is in a fictional town called Isenstadt, players will play as Agent BJ Blazkowicz a person who is feared by German citizens. The main task of the player is to reveal the secrets of a mysterious object by using the energy called Black Sun.

Well, here's where the point begins. Players must be able to prevent a group of German soldiers who called the Third Reich, using energy and the object to be a weapon of war.

To deal with the Nazis, players are not alone. Throughout the game players will be assisted by a group of rebels who also have the same vision. Not only to help, but the rebels were also provide the necessary firearms.

Revolution in Graphics

Virtually Wolfenstein graphics quality is quite revolutionary than its predecessor, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Although not very impressive, but the players will be slightly entertained by the blast effects of a fairly realistic.

Another effect is quite amazing, a gunshot wound that will clearly visible at the victim's body. Each bullet is nestled in the victim's body, will issue the wounds and a variety of reaction. Likewise blood from the victim's body, although its effects seem excessive but quite entertaining.

However regrettable is the texture of each character in this game. Id Tech 4 engine developed by id Software seems less smooth used in Wolfenstein. Every character looks 'poor' to the texture and look 'stiff'.

But different for audio quality that used. Every step of the enemy, bullets whistle through the voice of each character sounded very detailed and precise. Feel it when you playing this game. Play this game with a speaker device 5.1, then the gamers will know the direction of the Nazi soldiers.

By bringing the history of this game, Wolfenstein is valuable as one of the private collection of gamers. Moreover the single player game mode that has quite challenging, and if it is getting bored playing alone, gamers can compete with other players via multiplayer features.
