Indosat try to use the momentum of Ramadan to boost the marketing of Blackberry Bold, Javelin, and Storm series. All three handsets are packed with a variety of Islamic features.
According to Indosat's Chief Marketing Officer, Guntur Siboro, on the BlackBerry device is already set five Islamic application, namely: Al-Quran in Arabic and Indonesian translation, Hadits, sholat guidance, pray collection, and prayer beads.
"Because it's equipped with the application, customers no longer have to download. All are available on the BlackBerry handset," he said quoted in a release from Indosat, Wednesday (16/9/2009).
Indosat Blackberry Ramadan prepared in limited quantities and only supplied in the Regional Jabotabek. In addition to Islamic package, Indosat also took aim a moment of mudik through Lebaran Holiday packages and BlackBerry on Demand package Rp 55 thousand per month.
Currently BlackBerry users Indosat has amounted to 140 thousand subscribers composition of 60% retail and 40% are corporate customers. Until the end of the year, targeting users of the service his BlackBerry service reached 270 thousand.
