Sony PRS-700 Reader (sony electronics)
Sony introduced a new electronic book reader on October 2, 2008 in New York, the Sony PRS-700.
With 6 inch touch-screen display, LED front-lighting, up to 350 e-books storage (add optional removable Memory Stick Duo media or SD memory cards for more) and faster processor (compared with PRS-505) it will be the reason that the retail price comes out in November will be around US$400 (PRS-505 priced at US$300).

It use gesture-based commands for easy navigation. To display next or previous page we can swipe our finger across the display which can be set in the settings menu to choose between left or right direction.

What are the file formats that can be read using PRS-700? According to the press release, this device can read Adobe PDF documents with reflow capability, Microsoft Word documents, BBeB files and many other text file formats but it had to be convert first with the included PC software called eBook Library 2.5 (i got download link for eBook Library 6.2.2 from Custom Solutions of Maryland). Sony PRS-700 also has capability to store and display EPUB files even work with Adobe Digital Editions software.
You can order this cool gadget (PRS-505 available too) on www.sonystyle.com and more than 40 Sony Style® stores and at authorized retailers next month. This product come with a USB cable, eBook Library PC companion software and a color-coordinated, protective soft cover.
I think SOny PRS-700 better than previous PRS-505 even with the Amazon Kindle or the first e-ink touch-screen reader iRex.
